Águilas Cibaeñas

 

We are crazy about Baseball in República Dominicana and the team I support is Águilas Cibaeñas 'The Eagles'. Baseball was brought to the Caribean by US sailers in 19th Century, first to Cuba and then came to República Dominicana when so many Cubans migrated here.

 

 

We have a very lively winter league which is in full swing at the moment. We are second in the league table as I write and might win it this year with some luck, the team is strong. We have won the Caribbean Series five times, we hosted it in 2008
